What does the Bible say about Thanks Giving? Is it enough to
thank GOD in our prayers & in his presence? Does it simply say to give
thanks with lips? Prayer & Songs?
Just remembering to thank GOD in prayer make us like
Pharisees who are blindly indulged in the rituals so much, that they have
forgotten about the true essence of the GOD Almighty. Didnt they detest Christ for
his love & mercy for people of the margins of then world.
Thanking GOD is not an exercise. It is a walk of life (in Christ).
Let us pray to the LORD for his holy spirit to help us understand the upcoming
message and lead us into HIS light of truth.
Salvation
Thank GOD that we are ALIVE. Yes, Every moment we are alive
is HIS pure mercy and grace.
I always thank God for you because of his grace given you
in Christ Jesus. For in him you have been enriched in every way--in
all your speaking and in all your knowledge-
A Standing Witness for Christ
Thank GOD by standing as a witness giving testimonies.
In that day you will say: "Give thanks to the LORD,
call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim
that his name is exalted.
Being Generous
Thank GOD by being generous to the less fortunate, by
tithing, by supporting charities & missionaries, by supporting your Church,
by supporting GOD’s kingdom.
You will be made rich in every way so that you can be
generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving
to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the
needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to
God.
Acceptance
Thank GOD by accepting that our GOD is a GOOD GOD giving us
perfect gifts. Thank GOD by not rejecting or complaining of things, people and
situations.
For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be
rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by
the word of God and prayer.
Let the WALK do the TALK
Thank GOD in everything you do and say, i.e. alignment of your
personal, professional, social and spiritual life with the WORD of GOD.
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in
the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Thank GOD for his directions &
righteousness.
I will give thanks to the LORD because
of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.
Enduring Love
Why thank GOD in all our circumstances for he is mother like
GOD, His love for us endures forever.
Praise the LORD. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;
his love endures forever.
"Give thanks
to the LORD Almighty, for the LORD is good; his love endures forever." For
I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were before,' says the LORD.
Thanks Giving Day, Every Day
Thank GOD always. Do not set aside a specific time, specific occasions, are only during the moments of victories. Thank GOD in all our circumstances. Remember Romans 8:28
give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
HE is the KING, GOD Almighty, Christ the Savior!
Thank GOD because HE is the KING. He is our father. He is
our protector. He is our provider. He is our peace, joy & hope!
Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him
with music and song. For the LORD is the great God, the great King
above all gods.
As Thanks Giving to the LORD is mainly practiced through the
worship songs and prayers, we have to remember that Thanks giving is not just a
lip service but should be loudly resonant in our daily walks & talks (James
1:22). Most importantly we should recognize what is not thanks giving to the
LORD and should be watchful of it like Cribbing, Bragging, Bitterness, Greedy,
Self reliance, Pride, Depression, Prolonged grieving etc.
In this Thanks Giving Day, let us THANK GOD for ALL the
things, ALL the trials, ALL the Happiness, ALL the peace & for ALL HIS
Love,…Calvary Resurrecting Love! Amen!
