FAVOR
FAVOR Confession
**************************
In the Name of Jesus, I decree for this moment forward, I see myself the way GOD sees me[1]. I am highly favored of the LORD[2]. I am crowned with glory and honor[3]. I am righteousness of GOD in Christ and reigning as a King in life thru the one Son of GOD Jesus Christ the Messiah.[4]
In Jesus’ name, I declare by faith that I walk in divine favor. I have preferential treatment, Supernatural increase, restoration, increased assets, great victories, recognition, prominence, petitions granted, policies and rules changed and battles won I do not have to fight, all because of the blessing and favor of GOD on my life.[5]
In Jesus’ name, Every morning when I arise, I expect divine favor to go before me and surround me as with a shield with goodwill and pleasures forevermore.[6] Doors are now open for me that men say are impossible to open. No obstacle can stop me and no hindrances can delay me.[7]
In Jesus name, I am honored by my father, as I receive genuine favor that comes directly from HIM. I am special to HIM. I am the object of HIS affection. I am blessed and highly favored of the lord, in Jesus’ name.
AMEN!

Favor with God and man - by Yamini
Favor with God and man
Favor with GodLet us study few people who found favor from God and how they found it.
1. Noah
Gen 6:7-9 So the Lord said, "I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth—men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and birds of the air—for I am grieved that I have made them." 8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. 9 This is the account of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God.
Three key points to find favor with God: Righteous, blameless and walk with God.
Somewhat similar to Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you. But to do justly, to love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?
Noah was in no way a perfect man. Nevertheless he won favor in God's eyes. The key word here is "God was grieved with very one around Noah, BUT Noah found favor". His entire generation was rolling in sin, but he found favor. Same is our situation. Our whole nation, people around us are living in sin – BUT we can find favor if we walk with God.
Walk with God – same word is used for Enoch.
Gen 5:24 – Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.
Walking with God means not just having morning devotion, not just limiting God to church worship, personal worship but constant communion with God. Talking to him while cooking, cleaning, showering, driving – listening to His voice – admiring the nature around us and thanking Him for his beautiful creation all mean walking with God. When we walk with God, when we are in constant communion with God, we will be no more – our flesh will be no more. Jesus will be seen in us, through us and around us. Our countenance will change – not that we will become like a Monk. But the transformation takes place only when we walk with God. Transformation is from the inside out. When we are constantly thinking about him or talking to him, He captures our mind. The battlefield is for our mind only. So then God removes our grumbling attitude, our anxious thoughts all come under the captivity of Christ. Our attitude changes – it becomes the same as that of Christ Jesus. We will begin to treat success and failure alike. We will be no more like Enoch. Christ will be seen in and through us as we walk with Him.
When you walk with God you listen to his still small voice. Sometimes we do all the talking and then we leave his presence. We do not wait to hear his still small voice. Noah listened to God's voice – that is how he was able to build a mighty ark with so much specific dimensions. We have to train our ears to listen to God. Our ears must be circumcised. Our ears must be tuned. We must hush all the noises around us to listen to him. The sheep listens to his voice. John 10:3 – If we are His sheep we should know our shepherd's voice. When God speaks it is never against the word of God.
2. Abel
Genesis 4:4 But Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering.
The first –the prime time – the prime portion – fat portion – not remaining – not left over. He is not a beggar for our left overs. He holds our breath in his hands. If the breathe that goes in doesn't come out, we are dead and we will be called a body and not even with our name. With much reverence and awe we must give him our prime time, prime resources. We cannot give the left over money and expect God to bless us to overflow. Like Abel let us bring the fat portions to God.
Favor with man
Luke 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
For Jesus himself finding favor with men was needed. How much more for us? Only if we have favor with God he will grant us favor with man also. Only God must grant it.
Let us meditate from the bible, how these people found favor in the eyes of men.
1. JacobEsau asked, "What do you mean by all these droves I met?" "To find favor in your eyes, my lord," he said. Gen 33:8
It is not buttering or something but what Jacob did was biblical. He gave his worldly wealth to find favor in the eyes of his brother.
I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings. Luke 16:9
Jesus himself is asking us to use worldly wealth to gain friends. But most of the fight comes due to the worldly wealth – fight between siblings, between husband and wife.
Rom 12:18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
If peace involves giving away your worldly possessions, so be it. Blessed are the peace makers.
But Jacob, before he made peace with Esau he made peace with God. He sought God's favor before he sought Esau's favor. We should not reverse these priorities. He wrestled with God and made peace with him. (Gen 32). The bible says that we have to make peace with others before we bring our offering to the Lord. Before you take communion, it is good to examine if we have ill feelings towards any one.
2. Esther
15 When the turn came for Esther (the girl Mordecai had adopted, the daughter of his uncle Abihail) to go to the king, she asked for nothing other than what Hegai, the king's eunuch who was in charge of the harem, suggested. And Esther won the favor of everyone who saw her. 16 She was taken to King Xerxes in the royal residence in the tenth month, the month of Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.
17 Now the king was attracted to Esther more than to any of the other women, and she won his favor and approval more than any of the other virgins. So he set a royal crown on her head and made her queen instead of Vashti. Esther 2:15-17
Esther won the king's favor "not to like happily ever after" like a fairy tale fable. But it is for such a time as this. God grants us favor in other's eyes, not for our selfish motives, desires to be fulfilled. When God grants favor in your husband's eyes, in your in-laws eyes, we have to thank God and ask him how I can use this favor for His glory. Sometimes, we want to use that favor for selfish motives – to get our work done, our wishes fulfilled. But it should not be so.
The second time also Esther won the King's favor – she used it to save her people.
So it was, when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, that she found favor in his sight, and the king held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther went near and touched the top of the scepter. Esther 5:2
3. Nehemiah
Another example is Nehemiah finding favor with the King. He used it to rebuild the broken walls of Jerusalem. What broken walls are you planning to mend when God grants you favor. He prayed to God first for granting favor in the eyes of the king.
O Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man." Nehemiah 1:11
and I answered the king, "If it pleases the king and if your servant has found favor in his sight, let him send me to the city in Judah where my fathers are buried so that I can rebuild it." Nehemiah 2:5
What are blessings of Favor?
1. God's presence will go for us – Moses Exo 34:8-10
8 Moses bowed to the ground at once and worshiped. 9 "O Lord, if I have found favor in your eyes," he said, "then let the Lord go with us. Although this is a stiff-necked people, forgive our wickedness and our sin, and take us as your inheritance." 10 Then the Lord said: "I am making a covenant with you. Before all your people I will do wonders never before done in any nation in all the world. The people you live among will see how awesome is the work that I, the Lord, will do for you.
2. He will not pass us by – Abraham Gen 18:2-4
2 Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground. 3 He said, "If I have found favor in your eyes, my lord, do not pass your servant by. 4 Let a little water be brought, and then you may all wash your feet and rest under this tree.
3. Our good acts (deeds) will earn favor for our children – David showing favor to Mephioboseth due to Jonathan 2 Sam 9:7; David showing favor to Barsilai's children. 2 Samuel 19:31-40
7 "Don't be afraid," David said to him, "for I will surely show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan. I will restore to you all the land that belonged to your grandfather Saul, and you will always eat at my table."Friday, May 10, 2013
FAITH DURING TOUGH TIMES - May 10th ASK Prayer Night message
Matthew 14: 22 - 33 (New Living Translation)
22 Immediately after this, Jesus insisted that his disciples get back into the boat and cross to the other side of the lake, while he sent the people home.
Jesus sends his disciples to get on to the boat to cross other side of river. Disciples obeyed God’s plan and went on to the boat.
24 Meanwhile, the disciples were in trouble far away from land, for a strong wind had risen, and they were fighting heavy waves. 25 About three o’clock in the morning
The storm hits the sea and the boat is being tossed. It is dark, they are helpless, they are being tossed either side of the boat and they are wet. There was no way they could get out of the situation by themselves. They must be tossed in the boat for about 8 to 9 hours since Jesus sent them in the evening. They must be scared, tired. They would be losing hope and strength.
Jesus allowed this storm; the disciples were in this storm for many hours not just 1 hour or 2 hours. We might face situations in life were we feel we are in the problem forever.
When we are in such situations we wonder, what went wrong. We lose hope just focusing on the problem. We get revolved in fear when we only look at the problem.
Point #1: When we are I trouble, we wonder why we are here. We begin to fear. – Just Trust in God and HOLD ON and wait through the tough time.
25[b] Jesus came toward them, walking on the water. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the water, they were terrified. In their fear, they cried out, “It’s a ghost!”
When we are in Fear, we are confused, we cannot see things right. Disciples got confused for Jesus as a Ghost. They were terrified that much that they could not think right. They have seen all healing miracles Jesus has done but still could not understand it could be Jesus who can even walk on water.
27 But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here![c]”
Jesus answered at once. (KJV says immediately). He did not wait. When the time comes, he responds immediately. He always comfort us. He says “Take courage, I am here”. He did not say the storm will stop or you will not be tossed into water or you will not die. He does not talk about your problem. He just said “Take Courage, I am here”. That means we should know Jesus is always with us in any situation and be strong! It is not the situation we should focus.
28 Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water.”
29 “Yes, come,” Jesus said.
So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus.
It was only Peter of all disciples who asked God if he can come. He asked for something supernatural. We know about Peter He was a normal human being like us. He denied Jesus on the night Jesus was betrayed due to Fear. But still Peter asks Jesus if he can come to him. Jesus did not do any miracle for him to get out of the boat. He was ready to put himself in that stormy waves and walked out. He focused on Jesus and had faith on Jesus and was ready to reach out.
We need to get out of our comfort zone. If Jesus asks us to do something which is difficult, we need to trust him and do it.
As in the book of Esther 4:16, we see that she was ready to go out of her comfort zone. She knew she was going against law and she might die but still she took a step to walk in the storm.
Point #2: If you want to do it, you have to get out of the boat. – You have to go out of the comfort zone.
30 But when he saw the strong[d] wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted.
As Peter started walking, he did not care about the storm and waves, he focused on Jesus believing he can reach Jesus. Even though he was battling the strong winds for the last 8 to 9 hours but still was ready to get out of the boat. What an act of Faith!
All of a sudden, he took his eyes off Jesus and looked around at the problem, the wind and he became terrified and started sinking. All through our problem, let us not look at the problem, let us fix our eyes on Jesus.
31 Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. “You have so little faith,” Jesus said. “Why did you doubt me?”
Once peter knew he was sinking, he called out to Jesus to save him and we see that Jesus grabbed him immediately. Jesus says you sank because of your doubt. When Jesus says little faith, he does not talk about the size of faith but the completeness. In Matthew 17:20 Jesus says ”Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
Matthew 9:29 – Jesus heals the Blind men saying “According to your Faith, let it be to you”
Point #3: When you focus on the wind and waves, you sink. Don’t focus on the problems, Fix our eyes on Jesus.
When we are walking in tough time, if we remove our eyes from the Lord, we would sink. That is the reason for depression, addictions etc.
32 When they climbed back into the boat, the wind stopped. 33 Then the disciples worshiped him. “You really are the Son of God!” they exclaimed.
When we allow Jesus in our life, we would get the calm in the storm. As they climbed back into the boat, the storm stormed. When we focus our situation on Jesus and allow Jesus come into our situation and take control, we would see the storm clam down.
Let us pray to always have an unshaken faith on the Lord Jesus. Let us have the wisdom to analyze if the situations we are in are allowed by God or if we brought It by ourselves. As in proverbs 28:26; Let us walk wisely. Let us fix our eyes on the Lord and keep walking in faith.

Prayer Of Jabez
Prayer, the powerful conversation with GOD. Pages of BIBLE shows many different pleas and
prayers to the LORD by Prophets, Kings and JESUS himself. While looked keenly
can notice how each praying style brings out the glory of the GOD in a profound
way.
As much as BIG and Magnificent the GOD is, He is as simple
as he can be to reach and understand HIM. Didn’t JESUS say in Mathew (18:3) unless you
have a heart of Children you cannot inherit the kingdom of GOD. It is quite
important to conserve that child like love, enthusiasm, trust and amusement in
understanding and accepting the LORD. With a pure and complete dedication heart like the Child's to it parents.
A child does not withdraw himself/herself from asking the
Father anything. Here is one such prayer found in Bible - The Prayer of Jabez.
Jabez was rejected by his mother even at his birth. His
mother named him “Sorrow” because she stated “I gave birth to him in pain”. She was probably in emotional or physical pain during her child birth. Children bring joy. But she calls him "Sorrow". That tells there was intense trial in her life then. Jabez probably grew up with a heavy heart of being no one. A Child looking for recognition for love, respect etc and who eventually found his place in the heart of the GOD. Now, Let us see his
conversation with the LORD.
Chronicles 4:10
New
American Standard Bible (NASB)
10 Now Jabez called on the God
of Israel, saying, “Oh that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my border,
and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would keep me from
harm that it may not pain me!” And God granted him what he
requested.
1.
Oh that You would bless me. –
It is Pretty direct. Bless me. Give the blessings. Give it
to me. I need them. I can’t live a moment without your blessings. I need you.
You are integral part of my life.
2.
And Enlarge my Border
Get to the core. You bless me and bless me large. There he
mentions indirectly GOD you are not a GOD of small town or a place. You are a
GOD of universe. Everything belongs to you. You order them. Since everything is
yours. I ask you for a Lion share.
3.
And that Your hand might be with me
Wonderful request. He is asking for GOD to be his leading
hand, a comforting hand, a helping hand, a protecting hand. In father’s embrace
we have peace and security. Jabez asks for it “Daddy come with me. I don’t want
go alone. Come with me”.
4.
and that You would keep me from harm that it may
not pain me!”
GOD keep me from every harm the enemy can bring to me, my
household, my people and my land. Drought, Poverty, Famine, Malady, Ailments,
Debts, Magic, Sorcery, Jealousy, Deceit, Wickedness, trickery, any harm can be
kept by your MIGHTY hand. So I will not be hurt and troubled. So I can live in
peace and harmony
What was GOD’s answer to Jabez direct prayer?
And God granted him what he requested.
Exactly! GOD just showered everything he asked for. I am
sure. He blessed him with double of everything he asked for.
We serve a GOOD GOD. When we ASK he gives. All we need to be
is HIS child. Have a Child like heart and love for him.
A person named Sorrow had a blessed life thru his prayers.
Jabez can be used as metaphor. If you are grief filled lives a life of misery and sorrow, your faithful prayer to the LORD is definite to be answered with a blessed, happy and peaceful life.
Let us Pray like Jabez and be all blessed. Let GOD’s glory
reign in our life! Amen!
